The church of St. John, Maddermarket joined this illustrious collection in the fifteenth century.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-justify para-style-body\"\u003eDue to the iconoclasm of the seventeenth century and a later gas explosion, little of St. John’s medieval glass survives. Most of the glass in the church today is from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and is influenced by Anglo-Catholicism. The three main lights of the East window contain a beautiful Annunciation scene. Depicted on this card is a detail from this scene showing the Angel Gabriel.
